Full Service Landscape Design
At Staghorn, our design process unfolds in thoughtful, collaborative stages. We begin by getting to know you, your home, and the way you want to live outdoors. By understanding your lifestyle, aspirations, and the unique character of your property, we're able to create landscapes that feel both deeply personal and enduring.
As the design takes shape, we guide you through each phase with clear communication and regular touchpoints, refining ideas and balancing beauty with practicality. Our work extends beyond the finished drawings. We collaborate closely with trusted builders and horticultural professionals, remaining available for consultation and site visits throughout implementation to help preserve the integrity of the design.
While we don't serve as the project's contractor or ongoing maintenance provider, we believe exceptional landscapes benefit from lasting relationships. We're proud to remain a trusted resource for our clients, offering expert guidance as gardens grow, evolve, and become part of the rhythm of everyday life.
Our Full Service Landscape Design Process
Consult
To begin, we’ll have a consultation to talk about your goals and ideas for your
landscape, and also start to develop a recommended scope of work. Following this, we'll craft a design proposal outlining the necessary documents and associated fee as well as a rough build proposal to give a sense of the potential installation cost of the project.
Concept Phase
We begin our designs with a concept phase where we focus on developing the layout and flow of the space, masses of plantings and create inspiration boards for elements such as plants, furniture, built elements and lighting. The focus here is on developing the overall look and feel of the space, but does not yet get into specifics.
Detailed Design Phase
After the concept phase we move into the detailed design phase where our plans outline the specifics of all aspects of the project. This including the planting plan, schedule and guide, dimension plans, construction details, and other spec plans.
Once the design is complete, a final build estimate will be crafted in preparation for installation.
